Hi, I’m India, 30, and I’m a grateful recovering addict. I’m a woman of God and a mom to three spunky, energetic kids. I am engaged to a wonderful man who too is in recovery. We walk this journey together. My blog is meant to share my intense relationship with drugs and alcohol at a young age and my new life in recovery. About Me
When I was a little girl, seven or eight, I aspired to be a mortician. I dreamt that, by now, I would be “humanely” robbing a human corpse of their liquid gold. In return, I would pump their bodies full of carcinogenic formaldehyde. Strange, I know.
I was a dead woman walking at the pinnacle of my disease. Who would’ve thought that at just 13, I would become the emphasis of The Walking Dead. My addiction was so bad. Swallowed up by the devil himself, it was as if I had a gun to my head.
